General Regulations
General Rules:
- The competition is open to nail stylists of all levels and nationalities. Nail stylists without formal
training or registration with the Chamber of Commerce or VAT may also participate.
- The minimum age to participate is 16 years, except for the kids' competition.
- Most competitions are divided into Beginner, Advanced, Master, and Star divisions. Ensure you
register for the correct division. If in doubt, contact the competition organizers.
- Beginner Division: Anyone with or without competition experience who has not yet won and has
less than 2 years of work experience.
-Advanced Division: Those who have achieved a podium position in the Beginner Division and/or are
educators.
-Master Division: Those who have achieved multiple podium positions in the Advanced category.
- Star Division: Those who have achieved multiple podium positions in the Master category.
- Participants and models must register before the competition begins. During registration, models
will be inspected, and wristbands will be handed out.
- After model inspection, participants may prep the model's nails so that the competition time can be
fully utilized for the task.
- Products used during the competition must be in their original packaging or properly labeled.
Products without an EU certification are not allowed.
- Latecomers may still start the competition but will lose the time already elapsed.
- The competition results, as announced during the award ceremony, are final and binding.
- Registration fees are non-refundable, even in the case of late arrival or unexpected inability to
attend. If you cannot attend after registering, please notify the organizers.
- Models under the age of 16 must have written consent from parents or guardians.
- The organization reserves the right to cancel or merge divisions/competitions in case of insufficient
registrations. A division must have at least 3 participants.
- Models must have short natural nails unless otherwise specified in the competition regulations.
- Reuse of posters, tipboxes, and similar materials is prohibited. Posters from the same series are also
not allowed. If a previous participation or publication is found, a fine of €50 per offense will be
charged.
- Free parking is available behind the building. Please note that charging stations are reserved for
electric vehicles.
- For home competitions, you may register up to 2 times per category (e.g., 2x poster, 2x press-on, 2x
tipbox, etc.).
-Questions are welcome tot the organization, and they will be answered. Discussions will not be responded to.
-Inappropriate behavior toward the organization or participants will result in removal from the
location.
Models and Participants:
- If a participant has difficulty finding a model, they may complete the competition on their own
hands.
- Participants who do not speak Dutch fluently and wish to have a translator must arrange this
themselves. Translators may assist during the competition introduction on the competition floor but
must leave once the competition begins.
- Participants must bring their own electrical equipment, such as UV/LED lamps, electric files, table
lamps, and extension cords suitable for multiple plugs. The organization provides one electrical
outlet per competition table but is not responsible for participants' materials.
- Each participant will be provided with a worktable and two chairs. Participants may bring their own
chairs if desired.
- Bringing personal food or drinks is not allowed at the competition venue. Catering services are
available.
- The use of e-cigarettes or smoking is prohibited indoors and on the competition floor.
- Participants are responsible for their own products. Forgotten products must be resolved by the
participant.
- All photos and videos taken during the competition by the organizers remain the property of the
competition organization and may be used for commercial purposes. Photos and videos may also be
taken for social media during the event. Participation in the "Brabants Nail Event" implies consent.
- Visitors, participants, and models are not allowed to film or photograph in certain areas (e.g., the
jury room). In other areas, filming and photography are permitted as long as they are done
respectfully and do not disrupt the competitions.
- Registration is complete only after payment is received. Upon payment, participants will receive
confirmation of participation and proof of payment.
- If a participant cannot attend the award ceremony, the organization can send any prizes,
certificates, and score sheets by mail. Shipping costs are at the participant's expense. The
organization is not responsible for damage or loss of the package.
- The "Brabants Nail Event" and its organization are not liable for damages, theft, forgotten products,
or materials, nor for other incidents during the event.
Competition Floor:
- Only participants and their models are allowed on the competition floor. Other individuals must
obtain permission from the floor judges or organizers.
- Participants may set up their table during the competition introduction. Floor judges or organizers
will check the products on the tables. Products that do not comply with the rules cannot be used.
- Participants and models may not leave their workspace during or after the briefing. The floor judges
will indicate when participants and models may leave after the competition ends.
- Models will receive instructions in advance to ensure a smooth jurying process. Models must follow
these instructions.
- Immediately after the end signal, all participants must stop working and release their models.
Models must raise their hands and be escorted to the jury. Participants must clean and prepare
their tables for the next competition.
- Models needing a restroom break must raise their hands, and a floor judge will accompany them.
- Models may not bring mobile phones into the jury room, and talking is prohibited as the jury must
assess independently.
- Models must not touch their nails or remove dust while standing in the jury line.
Judging and Criteria:
- Every effort has been made to ensure skilled and impartial jury members evaluate the
competitions.
- Jury reports will be emailed after the award ceremony. Jury members will be available to explain
their assessments if requested by the participant. Jury decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
- Blind judging will be conducted, meaning only the models' hands will be visible to the jury.
Please read all the rules thoroughly in advance. Partricipants are responsible for knowing the competition rules. Rule violations result in disqualification. For quesions or clarifications, contact the competition organizers. Prepare Well!
